This panel focuses on innovative pedagogical approaches to studying the African Diaspora, emphasizing the complex interconnections between Africa, Arabia, and the Caribbean. We will explore how study abroad programs can critically address themes such as colonial history, race, and social justice. By prioritizing experiential learning and interdisciplinary engagement, the panel demonstrates how program facilitators engage transnational issues and the multifaceted identities of Afro-descendant communities in various geo-cultural contexts.
