SYNOPSIS: It’s present day, and we meet Tina, a 30-year-old first-generation Nigerian-Canadian filmmaker living in Toronto. At thirty years old, the pressure to get married is more intense than it’s ever been, and she is adamant about carving her own path while silencing outside voices that try to dictate what her life should look like. Next we meet Yemi, Eniola, and Tina, and explore their unconventional thoughts and experiences regarding marriage. This documentary touches on a much broader conversation about ‘Tradition vs. Modernity’, bridges the gap between the generations that advocate for either, and encourages a culture of accommodation and inclusivity.

Nafisa's grandmother Al-Sit, the powerful village matriarch, has her own plans for Nafisa's future. But can Nafisa choose for herself?
