Description for Program

Cori Bush is the first African-American woman to serve in the U.S. House of Representatives from Missouri. She served in the U.S. House of Representatives from 2021 to 2025. She is a nurse, pastor and Black Lives Matter Activist. Rep. Bush's progressive policies from advocating to defund the police, pro-choice for women and call for a ceasefire in Gaza earned her a reputation as being a member of the "Squad" during her Congressional tenure. Her advocacy continues as she's secured over $13 million federal earmarks to fund projects like emergency food and shelter services and housing redevelopment in the St. Louis area.
