Organizational emails in the United States about the COVID-19 pandemic sent to the public during March 2020 were assessed. In total, 200 emails (N = 200) were reviewed, and three types of social support were found, including informational, emotional, and instrumental. This period represented the first of subsequent waves of infection throughout the pandemic; therefore, it is important to look at communication effectiveness, particularly if/when organizations need to communicate further about the ongoing pandemic.
