Adding VALUE to Broadcast Education: An Introduction to AAC&U’s VALUE Rubrics

Abstract

This workshop will introduce the 16 VALUE (Valid Assessment of Learning in Undergraduate Education) rubrics by a representative of the Association of American Colleges & Universities in the context of broadcast education. They address topics such as critical thinking, ethical reasoning, and information literacy, were field tested by faculty on more than 150 campuses, and have been used by more than 3,300 colleges and universities in the U.S. and around the world.
