The World Bank will discuss the application and use of the Systems Approach for Better Education Results (SABER), which is currently being applied in over 100 countries around the world to help inform education system reform based on evidence and global best practice while simultaneously building the evidence base on education systems. Case studies and examples highlighting the use of SABER at the country level to help inform policy dialogue, programs and reform will be shared from Bulgaria and Nigeria. Additionally, specific work which uses SABER tools and data to better understand education system policies that are designed to improve student learning, namely the case of Thailand and Poland, will be shared.
