The RFS-SSE team worked collaboratively with the Ministry of Education to designs, adapts, and conducts early grade reading assessments in target schools to evaluate the effectiveness of these reading lessons. These assessments measure student performance in six core-reading competencies.
The presentation will examine and explore the methodologies used to develop, conduct, analyze, and disseminate the EGRA and SMES, particularly the working relationship with the Ministry of Education who was involved in all aspects of the work. It will also describe the lessons learned regarding creating productive relationships with government actors, as well as the advantage and disadvantages of working with government-provided enumerators, both for training and data collection.
