Wed, April 17, 8:00 to 9:30am, Hyatt Regency, Floor: Bay (Level 1), Bayview B

Proposal

Global Schools Forum (GSF) is a community of education entrepreneurs who are running and supporting innovative and inclusive non-state schools in underserved markets. GSF’s work enables members to scale their impact by collaborating with like-minded organisations, accessing expertise, tools and resources, connecting with financial and human resources, and generating evidence of their outcomes. GSF also seeks to raise the visibility of the non-state sector’s contribution to education globally and build greater transparency.

The recent Education Commission Report, ‘Investing in Knowledge Sharing to Advance SDG 4’, demonstrates the importance and potential impact that global public goods, capacity development and networks can have in reaching SDG 4. As a network with 35 members, running almost 12,000 schools with over 850,000 students, GSF is positioned to strengthen the non-state sector’s contribution to achieving SDG 4.

In this presentation, GSF will share early successes and lessons learnt from supporting non-state schools and ecosystem building. This will include an overview of the programmes GSF is running and initial indicators of impact, observed and reported by members.
