Stemming from discussions of ongoing analytical work in ESAs and ESPs and the need for greater capacity building in mainstreaming ECE into education sector planning, four key partners - UNESCO, IIEP, UNICEF, and GPE - have joined forces in developing a massive open online course for key global and in-country stakeholders. This paper will highlight each of the modules of the course, and speak to the challenges identified by the ESA and ESP stocktake analyses. This paper will also reference international best practices in distance learning and show how these have been applied to this course. Furthermore, this presentation will be an opportunity to show a brief teaser of the MOOC and provide examples of exercises and assignments for participants to further their learning on the subject.
