Scaling up Early Grade Reading interventions in Uganda through collaborative efforts between government and development partners

Proposal

The Uganda Ministry of Education and Sports (MoES) has worked with donors and implementing partners over the years to gradually scale up its early grade reading interventions to now reach over 80% of its districts and schools covering 12 local languages and English. In this presentation officials from MoES and its GPE-funded EGR project will share how they have worked with partners to coordinate efforts in implementing interventions through existing government structures by strengthening systems and building capacity of officials throughout the system.
