Group Submission Type: Highlighted Paper Session
Join the new editorial team of the Comparative Education Review to discuss our vision for the future of the journal and how to develop papers for submission to the journal. Last year marked the start of a new editorial team, and in this session we will present our editorial vision for the next five years and our processes of manuscript submission and review. This session will benefit teachers of comparative education by identifying trends and changes in the field, and new scholars in the field by providing constructive device on developing publications. We will discuss the range of submissions the journal currently receives, areas of scholarship that we believe are underrepresented, and common problems in manuscript submission. We will also discuss the range of work reviewed in our book and media reviews, and introduce our new advisory board and its role in the journal. Through an interactive discussion with the attendees, we will elicit views on what readers of the CER hope to see in the journal and engage in a discussion on publishable research in Comparative Education Review. This discussion will help to inform the teaching of comparative and international education and the development of future comparative education researchers.
