Proposal

Since 2000, the Chinese government has implemented policy reforms aimed at promoting the balanced development of education, which involved almost all levels and types of education. Reforms has changed the input level and distribution of public and private resources, which will inevitably bring about a series of consequences. This session contains four latest Chinese studies that use quantitative methods to evaluate reforms happened in the field of basic education, vocational education and higher education. Their results show that reforms has indeed improved education inequality to a certain extent, but in the meantime, some new problems inevitably arise under new situation.
