Group Submission Type: Special Session
Two speakers who have been successful in securing nearly $5,000,000 in research funding will discuss their experiences with the application process, managing of grants, and tips for future applicants, including the various funding agencies available and suggestions on what to (and what not to) do for success. The panelists will also consider the role of rejections in strengthening subsequent funding applications, and will share sample applications with the audience. This interactive session will involve audience participation speaking in small groups concerning their ongoing/planned research grant proposals, and will be particularly useful for those PhD students, postdocs, and early career academics who wish to apply for research grants in the near future.
