Proposal

The session addresses the nature of discourse about equity, democracy and climate education.

The first paper focuses upon climate justice and a praxis of solidarity in the context of education.

The second presentation considers the ways in which Western discourses about democracy, progress, the climate and education must be reassessed if equitable approaches to climate action and education are to occur.

The third paper addresses issues of climate policy in the context of neocolonialism.
