Proposal

Abstract: With the globalization, the trend of internationalization in higher education is becoming increasingly prominent, and countries are striving to attract international high-end talents in the process of globalization. In the field of higher education, world-class universities are attracting internationally influential professors and scholars through various methods to continuously enhance the strength and international influence. Therefore, the core of competition among first-class universities comes down to the competition for international academic influence among university professors (researchers). The latest academic achievements of a top university in a country usually represent its scientific research level and international influence. While international publication is playing the key role as the main channel for academic exchange and knowledge sharing among university researchers and international academic peers. Accurately grasping and understanding the international academic influence level of Chinese university researchers can help us understand the current status and problems of the international influence of a first-class university, and leverage our advantages in international competition, thus have a greater voice in the international academic community. Chinese relevant policy documents have put forward higher requirements for China's "Double First Class" universities and researchers, calling to have a higher international academic influence. Aiming at evaluation methodology, influencing factors and elevation method of "Double First Class" researcher international academic influence, a three-dimensional evaluation index and scale for the international academic influence of university teachers were constructed, and a sample survey and evaluation of the international academic influence of 37 "double first-class" university teachers in China were conducted. Through Structural Equation Modelling, the three-dimensional structure of University Teachers' inter- national academic influence (international talent training, international scientific research and international social service) was verified. The survey and statistical analysis show that the average level of teachers' international academic influence is low, and there exists large individual differences. This study builds a regression model of international influence, and the analysis results show that gender, subject and research field, professional title, visiting hours, visiting times and other variables have a significant positive impact on their international academic influence. The main conclusions of the study are that the evaluation indicators of teachers' international academic influence can be divided into three dimensions. The average level of teachers' international academic influence is not high and there are significant differences among teachers. The international academic visit is one of important influencing factors of teachers' international academic influence. The research puts forward suggestions on promoting the international academic influence of teachers and universities from the aspects of researchers, scholars and the government.
