An Introduction to the ALIGN Process

Proposal

The goal of this presentation is to provide practical guidance on how to implement the ALIGN process with concrete examples from various piloting experiences. During the presentation, an ALIGN Specialist will provide an overview of the process including why it was created, how it can be used, and how to plan for and implement it.

The presentation will include an introduction to the various tools and resources that have been developed to support countries to apply ALIGN. This will include an in depth look at the ALIGN Guidance, ALIGN Readiness Checklist, and the ALIGN Planning Guide. Participants will have a chance to review each tool, explore different ways it can be used, and ask questions as needed. Additionally, the presentation will include findings collected through the piloting process and the ALIGN Help Desk as well as general recommendations developed as a result of these experiences.
