This paper presentation will focus on articulating the overall research goals, research questions, and the mixed methods approach utilized to collect and analyze data for the HEIGHTS - Financial Sustainability multi-country comparative study under the SHARE activity. The presentation will also include a brief description of several critical pre-research scoping strategies, including the systems thinking approach incorporated into the research design, which enabled the study to identify and incorporate multiple perspectives from relevant stakeholders. Moreover, this presentation will also briefly introduce participatory approaches taken to produce a global codebook that allowed for comparative analysis across the three countries as well as country-specific analysis. A high-level synthesis of cross-national findings will be shared, along with recommendations and lessons learned.
