Proposal

The University of Notre Dame will briefly present the overall research goals of the HEIGHTS-IE multi-country study, its research questions, designs, and qualitative methodologies utilized for conducting this multi-country comparative study. The presentation will include a description of several critical pre-research scoping strategies and participatory approaches taken to produce a global codebook for comparative analysis across the three countries as well as country-specific analysis. This presentation will focus on sharing findings from the cross-country analysis, noting common themes and diverging findings from among the three individual-country studies. The presentation will end with a set of recommendations for the steps that could be taken to strengthen HEI engagement in innovation ecosystems in other contexts that may share similar qualities with the three countries of focus.
