In the Fall of 2019, I conducted a study surveying and interviewing elementary and high school students and teachers in international schools in Singapore about climate change and sustainability (Jimenez et al. 2020, Jimenez & Moorhead 2021). In this panel discussion, I discuss how I have used the findings from this study to shape how I teach about climate change and sustainability issues in my current university (both in and outside the classroom) as well as how my own students (teacher candidates) might consider teaching about these environmental issues and what potential obstacles they expect to encounter in their future teaching. Additionally, I will discuss the results from my thesis advisee's recent research (under review) surveying our teacher candidates and other university students about their knowledge and concerns relating to climate change.
