Description of Session

The Gender and Education Committee organizes an annual symposium at the CIES conference, to which all CIES members are warmly invited. Symposium presentations reflect the breadth, depth, and quality of the research, programming, and advocacy occurring in the field of gender and education. This year’s symposium speaker and discussion addresses: What does agency (resistance, advocacy, activism) look like when you’re being legislated against in your roles? How do we advocate for awareness of agency and empower one another?
