Wed, March 26, 1:15 to 2:30pm, Palmer House, Floor: 7th Floor, Clark 5

Proposal

SO started developed a VSOSCHOOL Learning Management System as an android app to train ECE teachers working in refugee and host communities in Cox’s Bazar in Bangladesh in 2018. The application has gone through various iterations and has been developed as a learning management system by following digital principles of developments. VSOSCHOOL allows teachers to access the course contents offline, the coaches can assess the progress of teachers by logging into the learning management systems and tailored modules according to their professional development needs. By using qualitative and quantitative data collected through the implementation of VSOSCHOOL App to train teachers in low-resource settings, particularly training ECE teachers in Bangladesh, Rwanda and Kenya, this paper highlights the importance of considering teachers’ voices and their contexts while developing Edtech teacher professional development programmes and engagement with the education systems for sustainability.
