UNICEF Regional Digital Learning strategies set the vision, goals, focus areas, and programmatic interventions for UNICEF's regional work on digital learning. It ensures that county programmes can approach EdTech and digital learning in a coordinated way that builds towards a set of common regional goals such as addressing the digital divide, strengthening system resilience, and promoting learning-centred pedagogy.
This presentation will describe the EdTech Hub Helpdesk's critical role in supporting UNICEF's Europe and Central Asia Regional Office (ECARO) and Latin America and the Caribbean Regional Office (LACRO) develop regional digital learning strategies.
In addition to an overview of key priorities from the UNICEF ECARO and LACRO strategies, specific focus will be given to describe the following technical support:
- Prioritisation and conceptualization:The Hub worked with regional offices to help prioritise key focus areas, ensure alignment with global strategies, contextualise approaches, and help conceptualise the overarching strategic approach.
- Writing and review: EdTech Hub reviewed drafts, fleshed out outlines into detailed chapters, and helped write whole sections of the strategy based on the needs of the regional office. Research and synthesis support was also provided.
- Promotion and dissemination: Technical support was also provided post finalisation. EdTech Hub facilitated a webinar to introduce and orient country offices in the Europe and Central Asia region to the new regional digital learning strategy.
