This paper will explore in greater depth how higher education institutions are working with local industries to understand the current and future needs of the labor force. It will address the ways that a higher education can support and grow students skills for the AI enabled workforce. Bringing forward the perspective of a third case study institution in the research consortium, the paper will reflect another world region offering a comparative element among institutions, countries, and, more broadly, world regions. Of the six institutions participating in the case study research, this paper will be prepared by an institution in Ghana, Kazakhstan, India or Spain in coordination with consortium director. The author added to this proposal represents the consortium lead organization and, upon acceptance to the conference, will be replaced by a partner institution. As part of a research consortium, the data collection methods are similar to the first papers, employing a mixed methods approach that combines quantitative data from students surveys with qualitative insights gathered through interviews and focus group sessions with faculty and academic administrators. The findings seek to highlight opportunities for higher education institutions to develop successful working relationships with local industries to support the needs of the global workforce. This research is timely and critical as higher education institutions strive to keep pace with technological advances and workforce needs.
