This study explores the role of digital social networks in shaping climate change and education movements in Delhi. As the city struggles with numerous environmental problems including severe air quality, water scarcity, and urban heat island effect, digital movements have become crucial online spaces for education and advocacy. However, little is known about how these online networks translate into on-ground action. This research applies social network analysis (SNA) to map potential interactions between digital activists, educators, and policymakers. Mapping these networks will help identify key actors and interactions, and how digital movements can disseminate climate knowledge and spur local action through these connections in Delhi. Data is collected from social media scraping and interviews with digital activists. Preliminary research indicates that digital movements led by NGOs, environmental activists, and educators drive community engagement. This study will help provide critical insights into the strengths and limitations of digital networks in fostering effective education and climate action that aligns with UN’s Sustainability Goals on promoting climate action (goal 13) and promoting partnerships for their goals (goal 17).
