Description of Session

Recent policies and executive actions have directly targeted the transgender community across the United States, including in schools and universities. In this time of anti-trans hate, it is of critical importance that we bring together a community of advocates who can work in allyship to support and protect our trans colleagues and students. This session will be a facilitated conversation on how best to be trans allies in this frightening moment, and to develop concrete strategies on how the CIES community can fight against this ongoing dehumanization. All who support the rights of transgender people are welcome.
