Description of Session

The NSC has organized the Orientation Session since the 2013 New Orleans CIES conference. This session is intended for first-time CIES conference attendees and anyone who wants to know more about the Society. Its purpose is to welcome participants and to suggest various ways that they can make the most of their conference experience. The President of the Society and the Student Representatives, as well as panelists from the CIES Standing Committees, the SIGs, scholars, and students provide tips on how the new attendees can get involved while at CIES and to continue to contribute to the Society throughout the year. Participants are encouraged to ask questions and network with the panelists and each other.
