Group Submission Type: Special Session
Essentials Series Workshops: Every year, the New Scholar Essentials series offer a number of sessions devoted to assisting early and junior scholars in their professional development in key areas. At this year’s conference, we will offer three workshops:
Essential Publishing Workshop;
This session focuses on the significance of academic publishing and the complexities of the publication process. Rather than providing direct editorial feedback, the session aims to equip participants with insights into navigating the often opaque and challenging world of publishing. Panelists will discuss key aspects of the publication process, including selecting appropriate journals, responding to reviewer feedback, and understanding publishing expectations across different disciplines. The session is designed to support emerging scholars in developing effective strategies for successfully engaging with academic publishing.
