A Blockchain Ecosystem for Safer Circular Lithium-ion Battery Supply Chains: A Performance-based Theoretical Perspective

Mon, November 20, 8:00 to 9:30am, Atlanta Marriott Marquis, Floor: International Level, International Salon B

Abstract

Blockchain technology holds promise for addressing safety challenges in the circular lithium-ion battery (LIB) supply chain by enabling effective tracking and verification of information. However, there is a research gap in utilizing theories supporting blockchain implementation. This study aims to fill this gap by proposing a theory-supported blockchain application for circular LIB supply chain safety management. By designing blockchain architecture with tailored capabilities, stakeholder involvement, and a safety measurements, the study suggests a research direction to explore the proposed framework's interaction. The proposed model enhances safety in the circular LIB supply chain and paving the way for broader blockchain implementation.
