Behavioral examination of the determinants of Telemedicine adoption: An Empirical Study

Sat, November 18, 10:00 to 11:30am, Atlanta Marriott Marquis, Floor: Lobby Level, L507

Abstract

Telemedicine is healthcare delivery from a distance using electronic technology, such as smartphones and computers. Telemedicine interventions are particularly pertinent in nations like the USA, where there is no universal and affordable healthcare coverage. Unfortunately, there are obstacles to telemedicine adoption on the patient's side. Hence, research into the variables influencing patients' intention to utilize telemedicine-related services is necessary. To do so, we will collect data via a cross-sectional self-reported survey from MTurk. Data will be analyzed via the regression procedure. Findings will provide insights for healthcare professionals about how to approach telemedicine adoption.
