A Circular Supply Chain to Build Resilience and Sustainability for Agriculture Supply Chains: Avocado Industry

Abstract

Circular supply chains have received considerable interest across various sectors due to their significant role in promoting resilience and sustainability. However, more research is needed to adopt the circular economy in agriculture supply chains, particularly avocado-based product. This paper presents a circular supply chain model for the avocado industry, including farmers, packers, vendors, and retailers. While our focus is on building resilience and implementing sustainable supply chain practices, the proposed model aims to minimize total costs, including setup cost, operational cost, cold inventory cost, and transportation cost.
