Victimization and Crime Statistics matter! The experience of Mexico measuring Violence Against Women

Abstract

This presentation will show institutional capacities and relevant experiences from the National Institute of Statistics and Geography of Mexico (INEGI) to generate and conducting Crime Victimizations Surveys. This dimension focuses on measuring VAW. Hence, it will exhibit experiences in using different statistical methods to collect and produce data to provide a better understanding of the nature, magnitude, and consequences of violence against women and girls in Mexico.
