Abstract

This study examines serial murder incidents using data from the Murder Matrix Database (TM pending), focusing on patterns, offender characteristics, and prevention strategies. The analysis reveals trends in serial murder occurrences, including temporal and geographical distributions, and identifies common profiles among offenders. Findings suggest that certain socio-demographic factors and prior criminal behaviors are prevalent among serial killers. The study also focuses on enhancing the study of violent crimes, particularly serial murder, by leveraging AI technologies. By understanding the underlying factors contributing to multicide, this research aims to inform policy development and enhance public safety initiatives.
