Forced marriage has not yet been sufficiently addressed in South-Western European countries. This qualitative research, based on semi-structured interviews with eight key actors in Catalonia, the Spanish region where this reality has been most addressed, identifies five good practices in the region’s victim-centred institutional, victim welfare, and police approach to forced marriage. They include protocolisation at multiple levels of professional action, a specific victim intervention programme involving key actors, and a proactive police approach. The research concludes with suggestions for improvements to facilitate their implementation in other regions in this part of Europe.
