P096. Restorative justice in environmental crimes

Abstract

Restorative justice proposes, rather than a response based on increased penalties for a sense of impunity, to rethink our understanding of environmental and animal injustice. It also seeks to broaden stakeholder participation, encouraging joint redress and promoting active accountability through genuine and engaged dialogue.From this approach, this poster reflects on its operability in the case of human-generated waste that is abandoned in nature, altering the balance of ecosystems and all the life they harbour, both animal and plant.
