This article deals with the relationship between the digital society and social control and aims to propose some new criminological perspectives based on the changes that the digital society has brought. The concept of social control, with its mechanisms and dimensions is discussed, and some new theoretical adaptations and innovations are proposed in the light of digitalization by theorizing the concepts of digital social control and the spectrum theory of digital social control.
