For many years, data on violence against children (data on children) has been a pending issue, a debt with various strategic users. The main justification is not having clear and internationally accepted methodologies, ethical issues in data collection, among other reasons.
This presentation will show efforts from the National Statistical Office in Mexico to analyze statistical information related to homicide deaths of people between the ages of 0 and 17, as well as the need to improve the visibility of the different types of violence against children as well as its characteristics.
