The Framework on corruption statistics as a good international practice for NSO’s in Latin America and the Carribean

Fri, September 5, 3:30 to 4:45pm, Communications Building (CN), CN 3103

Abstract

The INEGI-Mexico is a benchmark for international good practice in the development of different instruments on measuring corruption. The measurement of corruption for statistical purposes has gained international relevance due to its structural impact on societies. Internationally, 2030 Agenda recognized corruption as an obstacle to sustainable development and provides it with a priority space within the SDG 16. In this respect, two indicators monitor the progress of target 16.5 to substantially reduce corruption and bribery in all their forms.
