Heritage protection and securitization at its source have received limited criminological attention. This panel addresses this gap by bringing together interdisciplinary expertise to discuss recent innovative strategies for protection heritage sites and develop new frameworks to address complex issues of heritage ownership and repatriation. It will offer in-depth insight into technological advancements and stakeholder perspectives regarding heritage protection. In addition, the panel offers a critical look at evolving justice frameworks for cultural and natural heritage repatriation, introducing transformative justice as a new paradigm.
