Session Submission Type: Pre-arranged Panel
This panel brings together research exploring juvenile delinquency and victimization using ISRD data. Papers presented include comparative analyses of ethnicity and migration impacts on delinquency among Asian adolescents in the US and UK, theoretical examinations of substance use and offending across Spanish-speaking countries, methodological comparisons of online versus traditional school-based survey approaches in Argentina, and the application of crime mapping technology in Kosovo to enhance predictive and preventive measures against juvenile crime. These studies underscore the importance of contextual specificity, innovative methodological approaches, and comparative frameworks to improve our understanding of juvenile delinquency and victimization, ultimately informing context-sensitive prevention and intervention policies.
