A New CERN History Project: Charting the Story of the World’s Foremost Laboratory for Particle Physics

English Abstract

CERN is launching a new history project to trace the laboratory’s development from the 1980s onward, where the original CERN History Project left off. This ESHS-sponsored forum will open with a brief presentation on CERN’s engagement with the history of science over the years. It will then feature an in-depth discussion with three of the people leading the new initiative, exploring its aims, scope, and potential opportunities for future research.
