Researching the Unevenness of Emerging Transnational Public Spheres

Abstract

I'd like to provoke thought on the unevenness of the use and efficacy of emerging transnational public spheres, where margins still continue to be created. At the center of the analysis should be the question, in a time of great possibility in terms of the new public spheres, why do certain revolutionary movements take off and others don’t? A rich literature of current social and revolutionary movements is emerging in our field. A telescopic analysis of these contextualized studies will allow us to understand how various pathways of power condition and constrain the potential of the emerging transnational public spheres.
