By drawing on (a) the three perspectives of socialization noted in this paper, (b) the expanded stages of socialization outlined, and (c) the view that communication is “one of the most central elements” of the socialization process (Hart et al., 2003, p. 494), this theoretical paper seeks to propose relevant implications for and of organizational communication relevant to the Australian Army when socializing its employees.
