Although time is an important variable for communication research only little attention has been paid to the construction of time itself. This abstract will consider the impact of different levels of aggregation, e.g. on a weekly, monthly basis, for agenda setting research. The aim is to reveal systematic internal errors which might occur and result from the aggregation of data.
