Predicting Host Country Nationals Contact With Immigrants: How Perception of Others Predicts Contact

Abstract

The extended Abstract provides a causal model of features that predict the degree of contact that persons in the United Kingdom and France have with Muslim immigrants. The predictor variables include then perception of the threat posed by the immigrant group, degree of stereotype held, and the perception of the desire to acculturate by the immigrant group.
