Strategy of Outlaw Discourse in Building Civil Society

Abstract

Built upon current civil society research and outlaw discourse research in public relations, this article investigates how civil society can benefit from outlaw discourse. The relationship between outlaw discourse and civil society is represented in that outlaw discourse as a rhetorical tool helps disadvantaged groups reconstruct the power structure and establish social capital. Traditional theorization of media in civil society is challenged and outlaw discourse is further conceptualized in this study.
