BlueSky Workshop: (Re) Developing the Intergroup Communication Course

Abstract

The goal of this workshop is to develop and/or refine pedagogical practices as if relates to undergraduate and gradate education concerning intergroup communication and intergroup relations. At the end of the session, participants should exit with: (a) an increased familiarity with various types of intergroup courses on the graduate and undergraduate level; (b) a comprehensive list of readings and texts used in undergraduate courses; (c) copies of various assignments and activities employed by teachers and insight into best practices for implementation in the courses; and (d) copies of syllabi and course schedules to adapt in future course offerings. The schedule of the workshop will revolve around these objectives and include informal presentation of materials and discussion.
