The study examined the psychometrics properties, factorial structures, and measurement invariance of two well-known scales, the Short Wake Forest Physician Trust Scale and the Health Empowerment Scale, frequently used within health research. A sample of 772 women from Switzerland (516 German-speaking and 256 French-speaking) aged 30 to 49 years (M = 39.35, SD = 5.84) participated to the research. As expected, the CFAs confirmed the one-factor structure for both scales in both groups and acceptable psychometric properties (i.e., internal consistency). Micro-cultural invariance was found between the two groups of women on both the Short Wake Forest Physician Trust Scale and the Health Empowerment Scale (with the exception of the item 3). Consequently, cultural differences between French-speaking and German-speaking people could be studied for trust in doctors and health empowerment and new lines of research could be established.
