The IPSP and the Social Progress Index

Abstract

CLEMENCIA RODRIGUEZ will explain the connection between the IPSP and the Social Progress Index (SPI). Her presentation will critically assess the media and communication indicators included in the SPI and present the chapter’s Action Plan and Toolkit. The chapter’s Action Plan consists of ten items designed as guidelines to re-think and reform media and technology infrastructures toward social justice. The toolkit identifies specific actions for policy makers, NGOs, international organizations, the corporate sector, and citizens.
