Thirty Years of the Journal of Media Economics: Who, What, How?

Abstract

Scholarship is not a static process, and the target media sector, the object of analysis, theories/frameworks, and selection of the methodological procedures in the media industry research may change over time. This study attempts to draw a picture of how media economics research has evolved. For this purpose, we content-analyze all research articles published in the JME for 30 years and answer who-wrote-what and how questions.

Authors
