Technology acceptance is one of the largest research paradigms in communication science. Within the field of technology acceptance research, there are many well-known theories and models which are often used to understand and to predict technology acceptance. While these theories and models have shown their merits, the existing tradition of investigating technology acceptance more attention needs to be drawn of viewing technology acceptance more strongly as a process. This paper proposes a framework to focus also on the different phases of technology acceptance. This paper can be seen as a basis for future research to create a more inclusive view of the technology acceptance process.
